Materials

At AINO, every piece begins with materials chosen for their beauty, durability, and long-term wearability. We focus on fine jewellery materials that feel considered, lasting, and true to the way jewellery should be worn — not only admired, but lived in.

Our collections are crafted using solid 14k or 18k gold and carefully selected lab-grown diamonds. We do not use gold-plated base metals as the foundation of our jewellery. Our material choices reflect our approach to modern fine jewellery: fewer unnecessary layers, greater clarity, and lasting value in what truly matters.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

They are real diamonds, created in controlled environments that replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds form in the earth. As a result, they share the same chemical composition, crystal structure, hardness, and optical properties as mined diamonds.

This means a lab-grown diamond is not an imitation, not a simulant, and not cubic zirconia. It is a true diamond in every material sense.

Lab-grown and natural diamonds are identical in:

- physical properties (hardness, durability)
- chemical composition (pure carbon crystal structure)
- optical performance (brilliance, fire, and sparkle)

Even under professional inspection, specialized equipment is required to distinguish origin. To the eye, they are indistinguishable.

Solid Gold

AINO jewellery is crafted in solid 14k or 18k gold.

Solid gold is a precious metal alloy created by combining pure gold with other metals to improve strength, durability, and suitability for everyday wear. Because pure gold on its own is relatively soft, alloying allows the final piece to better hold its form while maintaining the beauty and intrinsic value of gold.

Unlike plated jewellery, solid gold is not a thin surface coating over another base metal. The gold content runs throughout the material itself. This gives fine jewellery greater longevity and allows it to be worn, maintained, and enjoyed over time in a way that fashion jewellery generally cannot.

We choose solid gold because it offers the balance we value most: preciousness, durability, comfort, and a finish that ages with quiet elegance.

14k gold contains 58.5% pure gold, with the remaining percentage made up of alloy metals selected to strengthen the material.

This composition makes 14k gold a practical choice for pieces intended for frequent wear. It offers greater hardness and resistance to everyday marks compared with higher-purity gold, while still retaining the richness and value of fine gold jewellery.

14k gold is especially well suited to rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces designed to become part of daily life. It is durable, refined, and often preferred for jewellery that benefits from a slightly stronger structure.
