Craftsmanship
At AINO, craftsmanship is not separate from design — it is how each piece comes into being.
From material selection to final finishing, every step is approached with precision, restraint, and attention to detail. We believe that fine jewellery should feel balanced not only in appearance, but also in structure, proportion, and wearability.
Our pieces are made with a focus on clarity: clean lines, considered settings, and construction that supports both beauty and longevity.
Design & Proportion
Every piece begins with proportion.
We consider how each element — metal, stone, and setting — interacts within the design. The scale of the diamond, the thickness of the band, the placement of prongs, and the overall balance are all refined to ensure the piece feels cohesive and natural when worn.
Rather than over-designing, we focus on restraint — allowing materials and form to speak clearly.
Stone Setting
The setting of a diamond is as important as the stone itself.
Each diamond is carefully set to ensure both security and visual balance. Prongs and settings are positioned to hold the stone firmly while allowing light to enter and reflect naturally.
Our approach avoids unnecessary bulk, aiming for a refined setting that supports the diamond without overpowering it.
As with all fine jewellery, settings may experience natural wear over time. Periodic checking is recommended to ensure continued security.
Metal Work
Our jewellery is crafted using solid 14k or 18k gold, shaped and finished with attention to both strength and comfort.
Edges are refined, surfaces are smoothed, and proportions are adjusted to ensure that each piece sits naturally on the body. The structure is designed to maintain integrity during everyday wear while preserving a clean and considered appearance.
Subtle variations in surface and finish may occur as part of the making process. These are inherent to fine jewellery and not considered defects.
Finishing
Finishing is where the piece is brought into its final form.
Surfaces are polished to achieve a controlled shine, avoiding excessive reflectivity while maintaining clarity. Where applicable, finishes are applied to enhance tone and consistency.
Over time, polished surfaces may develop fine marks or soften with wear. This is a natural characteristic of solid gold and part of how jewellery evolves with use.
Quality Control
Each piece is inspected before dispatch to ensure it meets our standards in structure, setting, and overall presentation.
This includes checking:
stone security
surface finishing
structural alignment
overall balance
Despite this, fine jewellery is not static. With wear, materials respond to use and environment. Ongoing care and mindful wear remain essential.
A Considered Approach
We do not approach craftsmanship as excess, but as discipline.
Every decision — from how a stone is set to how a surface is finished — is made to support a piece that feels refined, wearable, and lasting.
Our intention is not to create jewellery that feels distant or untouchable, but pieces that can be worn with ease, while still carrying the presence and integrity of fine materials.
Because you deserve a diamond, we believe it should be made with care, clarity, and purpose — not only in how it looks, but in how it is made.
